September brings two concerts for you to choose from! Friday, September 10 2010, 7:00pm -9:00pm Join us for the last outdoor concerts of the summer season at the Holly Springs Cultural Center. This FREE concert is open to the public. Enjoy the cool night air and the swingin' sounds of the Route 55 Jazz Orchestra outside on the lawn. Friday, September 17 2010, 8:00pm -10:00pm The fall is upon us and our "Autumn Leaves" concert will provide you with the warmth and comfort of the music you have been searching for. Tickets are $7. Welcome!You have arrived at the online home of The Route 55 Jazz Orchestra. 
R55 was founded in the fall of 2006 and its membership consists of community musicians who are serious about their commitment to making authentic Big Band Jazz in the tradition of Basie, Kenton, Miller, and more! If you are interested in having R55 perform at your event, please contact us using the link on this page.
Our mission is not only to perform, but to sponsor, promote, and educate our community with regard to jazz as America's great original music. R55 rehearses in the beautiful new Holly Springs Cultural Center, about 10 miles southwest of Raleigh, NC. We currently have no chairs open, but are always in need of qualified subs.
